Day 1-DEPART USA
Today we meet at our international departure airport where Bill and Liz Adams will assist with check-in formalities. This evening we will enjoy a delicious dinner high above the Atlantic en route to the Amazing Land of Israel.
Day 2-ARRIVE TEL AVIV
We arrive in Tel Aviv late this afternoon. Upon arrival, our TEMPLETON TOURS representative will meet us and transfer us to our hotel for dinner and overnight (D).
Day 3-MEDITERRANEAN SHORE/INDEPENDENCE HALL//ARIEL/MOUNT CARMEL
After breakfast we begin our tour of the the land of Israel. Our first stop will be at Independence Hall where, in May, 1948, David Ben Gurion proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. Then we’ll visit Joppa, Jonah’s port of embarkation for Tarshish. Joppa was also the home of Tabitha (or Dorcas) who was raised from the dead by Peter. It was also here that Peter learned that God was interested in the salvation of the Gentiles. A visit is also included to Ariel, a thriving community in the region of Samaria. Then we will travel to Mount Carmel home of the prophets Elijah and Elisha, and site of Elijah’s triumph over the prophets of Baal. From here we will also view Mount Tabor and Mount Gilboa where King Saul and Jonathan were killed by the Philistines. (B/D).
Day 4-SEA OF GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/CAESAREA PHILIPPI/MOUNT OF BEATITUDES
After breakfast we’ll take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. While on the boat we’ll pause for a worship service and remember the many miracles our Lord performed in this area. Then we’ll proceed to Capernaum to see the remains of an early church, the
ruins of Peter's house, and the ancient synagogue. After lunch we'll travel through the Golan Heights and descend to the site of Banias where springs form the source for the Jordan River. In this area Peter made his great confession that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. Then we will gather on the Mount of Beatitudes to read the Sermon on the Mount while overlooking the Sea of Galilee. On our return to the hotel we’ll stop at the
Jordan River, made famous by the baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ by John the Baptist .
Day 5-NAZARETH/MT TABOR/JEZREEL VALLEY/ EIN GEDI/DEAD SEA
After breakfast we will leave the Sea of Galilee and travel south through the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea. Our tour will first take us to Bet She’an, the city where the
Philistines hung the bodies of Saul and Jonathan. Then we will ascend to the top of Mount Tabor, possible site of the transfiguration of Christ. Then we’ll stop to look over into Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus. We will also travel through the Jezreel Valley
near the site of Armageddon in the Book of Revelation. Our last stop today will be at Ein Gedi where David hid from king Saul. Our hotel tonight is located on the shores of the Dead Sea. Be sure you take time to swim in the Dead Sea or the freshwater pool and spa (B/D).
Day 6- MASADA/QUMRAN/OLD JERICHO ROAD/JERUSALEM
This morning we'll begin our tour with a visit to the mountain fortress of Masada to see the remains of Herod’s palaces, storehouses, cisterns, and a 6th Century Byzantine church. Then we’ll drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Qumran to see the caves
where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. After lunch we will travel to Jerusalem on the Old Jericho Road and stop to look over into “the Valley of the Shadow of Death”. From there we make our final ascent to the beautiful city of the great King: Jerusalem!
Day 7- MOUNT OF OLIVES/WALKING TOUR/GETHSEMANE
Today we will intercede at the Western Wall and pray for the coming of the Messiah and spiritual security of the city gates. Our tour will take us to the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of the city of Jerusalem and the Pater Noster Church to see the Lord’s Prayer written in over 100 languages. Then we'll enter the Old City of Jerusalem to see the Southern Wall excavations to stand on the very steps where Jesus taught on several occasions, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the beautiful Crusader Church dedicated to St. Anne, the nearby Pool of Bethesda, and Antonia's Fortress, site of Pilate's Palace. This afternoon we'll visit the Garden of Gethsemane to see the area where Jesus had
His agony and was betrayed (B/D).
Day 8 - BRIDGES FOR PEACE HEADQUARTERS
Today we will visit the international headquarters of Bridges for Peace to pray for watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, Christian outreach of blessing to Israel, and
the poor and immigrants (B/D).
Day 9- YAD V’SHEM/KNESSET/NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM
Our third day in Jerusalem begins with a visit to the Model City of Jerusalem as it was in 69 AD. We'll also visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept. This afternoon we will travel to Mount Zion to visit the Upper Room and the traditional Tomb of King David. Afterwards, we will travel a short distance to the House of Caiaphas where Peter denied Christ three times (B/L/D).
DAY 10 - CALVARY/GARDEN TOMB
This morning we will have some time at leisure to shop in the Old City or relax at our hotel. This afternoon we will visit Calvary and the Garden Tomb, a peaceful spot where we will have a private communion service as we reflect on Christ's crucifixion, burial, and resurrection (B/D).
DAY 11 - NEOT KEDUMIM BIBILCAL LANDSCAPE RESERVE
Today we leave Jerusalem and travel to Neot Kedumim, a unique endeavor to re-create the physical setting of the Bible in all its depth and detail. We will then travel to our hotel in Tel Aviv where we will enjoy our farewell dinner. After dinner we will take time to share the things that God taught us during this amazing Israel experience (B/D).
Day 12- JERUSALEM/USA
Today our memorable journey comes to an end. After breakfast we will transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv and board the plane for our return flight home (B).
