Area Coordinator

Jay Christianson   –•  USA Northeast Area Coordinator

Rev. Jay Christianson has been serving the Body of Christ throughout most of his life, whether as a childhood altar server in the Lutheran Church, a Youth group leader as a teen or as a Music Director, Associate Pastor or Senior Pastor in various denominational churches. He received his B.A. in Pastoral Studies through North Central University and a B.A. in Theater through the University of Minnesota, both in Minneapolis. Jay was initially introduced to the Hebraic Roots of Christianity at a conference in 1987. Since that time, he has been both a student and a teacher of the Jewish roots of the Christian faith with an ever-growing passion to introduce others to the Hebraic foundations of Christianity.

Jay first met BFP in 1995 when he traveled to Israel on a Bridges for Peace study tour. Upon his return to the US, he became involved with the Bridges for Peace work in the Minneapolis area, teaching at conferences, speaking at meetings and eventually leading a tour of his own in 2000. Even as a full-time senior pastor, he continued his work on behalf of Israel and remained committed to bridge-building with the local Jewish community. He was a part of a ground-breaking dialogue between Evangelical Christian and Jewish leaders in the Twin Cities for two years and has worked tirelessly to promote the ministry of Bridges for Peace.

Rev. Christianson is our North Central Area Coordinator and lives just outside St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife Jeanne and four children, Rachel, Jim, Aaron, and Lisa.
