John
Anthony: John has officially worked for Bridges for Peace since
2002, but he has been a friend of Bridges for Peace since its
beginning days in Jerusalem. God impressed upon John at the age
of ten that he would one day live in the land of the Bible. He
worked in the Baptist camps in Israel during the summer of 1970.
In 1973, he was appointed to serve in Israel by the International
Board of the SBC and was awarded Emeritus status in 2003. John
lived in Jerusalem for more than 27 years and worked with the
Hebrew, Russian, Arabic, English and International communities.
He served for 22 years on the pastoral staff of the Narkis Street
Congregation and was pastor of the Jerusalem Baptist Church for
four years. He earned the M. Div and D. Min degrees.
